What a Night: Music from the Movies for a Cause

On Monday 6th October, the Login Lounge in Camberley was transformed into a haven of cinematic magic and community spirit, all in support of three incredible local charities: Surrey Heath Age Concern, The Besom, and Home-Start Surrey Heath. Organised by the ever-generous volunteers of the Camberley 41 Club, the evening was a heartfelt celebration of music, connection, and giving back.

Guests were treated to a dazzling performance by the talented saxophonist Chris Olsen, whose soulful renditions set the tone for an unforgettable night. From the Wimbledon Championships to the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Chris brought his signature flair to Camberley, captivating the audience with every note.

The Rushmoor Concert Band, a 30-piece ensemble conducted by Phil Lazenbury, followed with a rousing programme of cinematic classics. Their energy and precision filled the room with nostalgia, joy, and a shared sense of purpose.

With drinks flowing, laughter echoing, and melodies soaring, the concert was more than entertainment, it was a powerful reminder of what happens when community comes together. Every ticket purchased helped support families, older residents, and those in need across Surrey Heath.

A special shout-out goes to Steve, Suzanne, and the entire team at the Login Lounge, whose generosity and continued support made the evening possible. Their venue was the perfect backdrop for a night of joy and purpose, and their commitment to local causes never goes unnoticed.

To everyone who attended, donated, or helped spread the word, thank you. Your support helps us keep the heart of Surrey Heath beating strong.
