Music & laughter…

‘What a wonderful evening we had, Charles our Chair and I were invited to “The Mehfil Night” at the Heatherside Community Centre for a night of amazing music and delicious food. We received a warm welcome and the raffle on the night was in aid of Surrey Heath Age Concern. They managed to raise a fantastic £320.00 for us and we are truly grateful.

With help of a good friend “Bindi” and the incredible support from Roti Corner in Camberley we have initiated an “Indian Afternoon Buffet” gathering for our elderly residents every other week to foster unity among all the communities. It has been a delightful experience connecting with some of them during the event and Charles and I sat with some of our regular guests on Saturday night. Overcoming cultural barriers is always a challenge but this has been a great succes so far. Our next event will be held on the 10th October from 1pm till 3pm, come and join in the fun.
