Discover Meaningful Ways to Volunteer and Make a Positive Impact in Our Community
We are on a mission to make a difference in the lives of elderly, lonely and vulnerable individuals in Surrey Heath. We need your help to create a community where no one feels alone. There are numerous ways you can contribute and make a lasting impact.
Become A Befriender
By joining our team of volunteer befrienders, you can help combat loneliness and provide much-needed companionship. The more volunteers we have, the more individuals we can support.
Volunteer At Our Cafe
We are seeking volunteers to support the day-to-day operations of the Rainbow Cafe and serve our valued customers. Your contribution will be welcomed with open arms.
Host And Drive
We need hosts who can organise our popular Tea & Chatter Parties. And, if you can collect and return an elderly guest from their home, we need your assistance.
The benefits of volunteering
Volunteering offers a sense of purpose and fulfilment while helping others in need. It provides valuable skill development and meaningful experiences that boost personal growth. Engaging in compassionate work fosters a strong sense of connection and belonging within a supportive community. Ultimately, volunteering benefits both the volunteers and the communities they serve, creating a more compassionate and interconnected society.
Fundraise to make a difference
Are you organising an event or participating in a sporting challenge? We invite you to make a meaningful impact by raising funds through sponsorship for SHAC (Surrey Heath Age Concern).
